Dale Kay Boman
Mr. Dale Kay Boman, 70 of Atlanta, Michigan died on August 5, 2017 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born on June 9, 1947 to the late Devere and Anna (Allen) Boman in Alpena, Michigan. He served his country proudly as a veteran in the United States Army National Guard. Dale resided in Atlanta all of his life. He owned and operated Maple Valley Stables for many years. He was a hard worker and remained active always busy doing something, and always enjoying to tell his off color, one liner jokes. He cut wood and enjoyed to garden and would feed people in the community with what he grew. He also logged with his horses and made his own maple syrup. Although a busy man, he always found time to sit in his favorite recliner and watch old Westerns. He loved his family and his friends and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by daughters, Christine (Scott) Thompson of Hawks; Jessica (Tom Bonnett) Boman of Cheboygan; son, Justin (Jessica) Boman of Cheboygan; nine grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Needling of Boyne City; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Devere and Anna Boman; brother, Doyle; and sister, Betty Bunton.
Funeral services for Mr. Boman will take place at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Green Funeral Home; Atlanta; Rev. Dr. Jack D. Ferguson officiating. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Briley Township Cemetery.
